Words from the Sleepless Land
« I was over there fighting the Germans who were conducting these horrific medical experiments. At the same time, my own country was conducting them on my mother », son of one woman included in the governement-endorsed plutonium injection experiment (R.J. Lifton, G. Mitchell, Hiroshima in America, p.323).

Words from the Sleepless Land
"What I felt at that moment was that Hiroshima was entirely covered with only three colors. I remember red, black and brown, but, but, nothing else. Many people on the street were killed almost instantly. The fingertips of those dead bodies caught fire and the fire gradually spread over their entire bodies from their fingers. A light gray liquid dripped down their hands, scorching their fingers. I, I was so shocked to know that fingers and bodies could be burned and deformed like that. I just couldn't believe it. It was horrible. And looking at it, it was more than painful for me to think how the fingers were burned, hands and fingers that would hold babies or turn pages, they just, they just burned away", Akiko Takakura.

There and Back Again
Back from central Europe, including Vienna, Nuremberg and Munich…
I saw the Courtroom where the 1946 Trials took place, the site of the famed rallies of the 30’s as immortalized by Nazi propagandist Leni Riefenstahl in “Triumph of the Will”.
There was a beach volley competition on the Hauptmarkt place where Hitler used to walk among adoring crowds.
All this has put me in the mood of resuming work on the follow-up to “Upon a Sleepless River”.
It will be probably be called "Upon a Sleepless Land".
The current tracklist goes something like this:
1 - Voight Kampff
2 - Dresden I
3 - All Things Being Equal, No Questions Asked
4 - Dresden II
5 - Upon a Sleepless land
